THE ROLE We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Proofreader/content editor to join our team. This is an ideal position for someone who’s looking to kickstart their career, or progress within their content editing/proofreading career, and will provide valuable experience in content editing, SEO, and digital marketing.This role is centred on ensuring the quality and consistency of content across various formats, including blogs, website pages, and case studies. The primary focus is to review and refine content to ensure it adheres to company standards, maintaining clarity, accuracy, and alignment with our brand guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Proofreading:

  • Review and proofread content across various formats.
  • Ensure content aligns with company style guidelines and SEO best practices.

Feedback and Communication:

  • Eventually be capable in providing clear and constructive feedback to content creators to improve content quality.
  • Work closely with offshore teams to eventually be able to help them develop their writing and ensure consistency in tone and accuracy.

Understanding of SEO:

  • Learn and apply basic SEO principles to ensure content is optimised for online search.
  • Support our lead generation efforts by ensuring content aligns with our digital marketing strategy.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
  • A minimum of a Grade A in A-Level English or a degree in English (preferred).
  • No prior experience is required, but an interest in writing, editing, or digital marketing is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to spot errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Good communication skills to provide constructive feedback.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices is a plus but not essential – we will provide training!
