As Head of Search, Stephen is in charge of the SEO wizardry that will help your website to be found by relevant people. He appreciates the world of SEO is a complex place, so he won’t baffle you with technical jargon. Stephen’s journey to Head of Search at Make Me Local didn’t always follow a logical path. He set up his first website at school, off the back of which he wrote for newspapers, magazines and teletext! He started working life as a Saturday boy at the WH Smith in Bromley High Street, before moving into digital and gaining a Diploma in Digital Marketing. He joined Make Me Local after meeting Nathan for a curry at Shampan – he’s never looked back.
Outside of the office, Stephen still loves some tech. He is a big music fan and has lots of new-fangled technology, but is also the proud owner of an eclectic record collection. Impressively, his first ever gig featured Metallica, Guns ‘n Roses and Spinal Tap (yes, really). Stephen’s happy place is behind the goal on a match day at St James Park – the Exeter one. If it’s a non-match day, you might bump into him at The Red Lion on North Road, or at Indian Essence.
